To the folks at woodlot Companions, Back in June when we adopted Kelsi (Bernedoodle) you stated that you would like to hear from us about how she was doing. Well here we are at nine months old (26.9 lbs) and have nothing really to complain about. She had a very good start with socialization from you folks, gets along with very well with all of our family, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Basically she has never seen another human that she did not like. She is true to “ALL” of the characteristics of her parents. She knows her name, is a bit stubborn at times (we call it selective hearing 😀) and will give you a paw when asked, will sit on command, rings a bell at the back door when she wants to go outside to do her thing and is about 90% trained to walk on a leash. She loves to play. Weather or other distractions prohibiting, she gets a one and a half mile walk every day. Somewhere in that pile of fur is a happy Kelsi, (she has ownership papers on Marvin) and “ALL” can be summed up with her bedtime prayer. The King-sized bed is soft and deep. I sleep right in the center groove, My human beings can hardly move. I trapped their legs, they’re tucked in tight, And here is where I pass the night. No one disturbs me or dares intrude, Till morning comes and “I want food!” I sneak up slowly to begin, And nibble on my humans chin. For morning’s here, it’s time to play, I always seem to get my way. So thank you lord, for giving me, These human persons that I see. The ones that hug me and holds me tight, And shares their bed with me at night. Amen Marvin
